Abstract This study was primarily concerned with investigating the role of a number of variables as predictors of problems encountered in operating small business incubators. The empirical findings of this study indicate that entrepreneurs with Bachelor’s degree report that one of the problems encountered in operating small business incubators is lack of finance. There are statistical differences towards problems encountered in operating small business incubators due to the number of years of the entrepreneur in a managerial position prior to start-up of the firm, the number of years as an employee of the entrepreneur before start-up, the age of entrepreneurs (years) and the sex of entrepreneurs.
